Flux employs MAX in live performance while certain pre-composition designs were achieved with IRCAM's Patchwork computer assisted composition program.

Trombonist, Andrew R. Glendening, is currently Assistant Professor of Trombone and Director of the Computer Music/MIDI Laboratory at Morehead State University in Morehead, KY. As a leading proponent of New Music for the trombone, Dr. Glendening has performed at numerous festivals, symposia and universities throughout the US including solo recitals, ensemble performances, and/or masterclasses at the Aspen, Evian, Beyond...(A Celebration of Computer Music and Art), Electronic Music Plus 17, June in Buffalo, Midwest Comper's, and Music of Our Time Festivals, the Eastman School of Music, Oberlin Consdrvatory, University of North Texas, Harvard, and Indiana University.

Dr. Glendening has premiered numerous works for trombone including Joseph Klein's Pathways: Opposing Forces for trombone and orchestra and Marc Satterwhite's Chamber Concerto No. 2 for alto trombone and orchestra.
