at 1750 Arch Street, at the top of the hill north of Tolman Hall.
Time: Fall semester Friday 10am-1pm
Units: 4 units,may be repeated for credit
Course format: Three hours of lecture and five hours of lab per week
Course Description: Technical and musical issues in the design and development of computer-based music systems including digital signal processing for the analysis and synthesis of sound, scheduling of multiple musical control processes, perceptual and cognitive models, user-interface design, reactive real-time control, and the analysis and representation of musical structure.
