Costumes

The costume of various dance-drumming starts with the normal attire of the ethnic group. Very elaborate designs are sometimes produced for specific dance-drummings. For example, among the Anlo-Ewe people of southeastern Ghana, dance-drumming clubs are known to design elaborate costumes for their club members. Apart from the value of providing a sense of identity, it also promotes a great sence of in-community spirit.
